Was semiaktiv wirklich verändert
Die WP-APEX-Elemente lesen die Trägheitsplattform aus und passen Druck- und Zugstufe laufend an. Auf der Straße glättet das einen schlechten Untergrund; auf der Rennstrecke bewältigt es den Lastwechsel zwischen harter Bremsung und voller Beschleunigung, was ein deutlich schwierigeres Problem ist.
Eine ordentlich vorbereitete EVO
Besitzer, die eine EVO auf die Rennstrecke bringen, arbeiten meist mit einem Fahrwerk, das kaum Zuwendung braucht, was Budget für Cockpit, Auspuff und Reifen frei macht. Gasgriff und Schaltung werden dabei meist gemeinsam angegangen.
Straßenbedienelemente bereits entfernt
Diese Einheit kommt ohne Blinker- und Hupenpositionen, sodass nichts daran ist, was eine geschlossene Strecke nicht braucht. Das ist der Unterschied zum normalen Zusatzschalter, und deshalb werden beide getrennt angeboten.
Die Fahrwerksbedienung bleibt unverändert
Die Dämpfungsmodi der EVO werden vom linken Bedienfeld gewählt und bleiben völlig unberührt. Nur die Bedienelemente auf der Gasgriffseite wandern, und die Elektronik sieht nach dem Umbau keine Veränderung irgendeiner Art.
Unabhängig vom Griffrohr
Die Einheit klemmt am Lenker, sodass sich später ein anderer Schnellgasgriff montieren lässt, ohne irgendetwas elektrisch zu verändern, wenn der Aufbau weiterentwickelt wird. Über eine Testsaison erspart das mehr als einmal Arbeit.
Abgedichtete Kontakte
Elemente nach Militärspezifikation in einem aus einem Block gefrästen Gehäuse. Ein Dampfstrahler an einem warmen Motor findet jede vorhandene Kunststofffuge, und dieses Gehäuse hat keine.
Titanfarben
Eine Oberfläche, in das Material eingebracht statt aufgetragen. Gegen orange Rahmenrohre und dunkle Verkleidung kennzeichnet sie das Bauteil, ohne eine Farbe hinzuzufügen.
