Das erste Motorrad mit APRC
Traktionskontrolle, Wheelie- und Launch-Control mit Schaltautomat, alles während der Fahrt verstellbar, kamen 2011 mit diesem Motorrad. Nichts sonst in der Naked-Klasse bot Vergleichbares, und die meisten Superbikes auch nicht.
Warum sich die Reihenfolge ändert
Der Race-Block behält alle Funktionen und verlegt den blauen Taster an das untere Ende der Reihe. Fahrer, die Runde für Runde die Traktion anpassen, schauen nicht mehr danach – das ist die gesamte Begründung für ein anderes Layout.
Feste Ansaugtrichter, mehr Mitte
Aprilia gab der ersten Tuono feste Ansauglängen und weichere Nockenwellen, wo die RSV4 variable hatte. Die Leistung sank von 180 auf 167 PS, und der Motor wurde unterhalb von zehntausend Umdrehungen deutlich nutzbarer.
Anderthalb Jahrzehnte an Kontakten
Diese Motorräder haben vierzehn Winter hinter sich. Kunststoffschalter erreichen irgendwann einen Punkt, an dem eine Funktion nur noch gelegentlich reagiert, und Aprilias Lösung war schon immer eine komplette Baugruppe statt eines einzelnen Kontakts.
Das Fahrwerk des Superbikes
Der Rahmen stammt von der RSV4, verstellbar am Lenkkopf, an den Motorlagern und am Schwingenlagerpunkt. Aprilia montierte Lenker und eine Frontverkleidung und ließ den Rest unverändert, weshalb das Motorrad seine Linie so hält, wie es sie hält.
Vier eloxierte Farben
Schwarz, Blau, Rot und Titanfarben. Bei einem Motorrad dieses Alters überdauert die eloxierte Oberfläche alles, was von den aufgedruckten Beschriftungen am Originalblock noch übrig ist, um ein Vielfaches.
Innen abgedichtet
Elemente nach Militärstandard, eingeschlossen im gefrästen Gehäuse. Wasser, das einen Kontakt erreicht und dort stehen bleibt, beendet das Leben eines Schalters, und hier gibt es keine Nahtstelle, an der es vorbeikommt.
Unveränderter Stecker
Aprilia verwendete über diese Generation hinweg denselben Stecker, sodass die Einheit vorverkabelt ist und direkt passt. Nichts wird durchtrennt, und der Tausch lässt sich ebenso leicht rückgängig machen, wie er vorgenommen wurde.
