Die Ausstattung, die man spürt
Einstellbare Kayaba an beiden Enden, eine leichtere Batterie, eine Einzelsitzbank. Aprilias Factory-Ausstattung kauft hier Fahrwerkskontrolle statt Leistung, und sie wird von Leuten gekauft, die sie auch nutzen.
Die blaue Taste wandert
Das Race-Layout behält jede Funktion und ändert nur die Reihenfolge. Das meistgenutzte Bedienelement sitzt am unteren Ende der Reihe, wo ein behandschuhter Daumen unter Bremsung ohne bewusste Entscheidung ankommt.
Bei jeder Session nachjustiert
Traktion, Fahrmodus und Motorbremse sitzen alle hinter diesem Block. Bei einem Trackday ändern sich diese jedes Mal, wenn der Fahrer an die Box kommt, was ein Lastzyklus ist, für den das geformte Original nie ausgelegt war.
Schwarz oder titanfarben
In die Oberfläche umgewandelt. Gegen die Factory-Lackierung hält Schwarz den Lenker zurückhaltend, während Titanfarben die Gabelbeine aufgreift, ohne vorzugeben, sie zu imitieren.
Abgedichtet gegen den Hochdruckreiniger
Elemente nach militärischer Spezifikation im gefrästen Gehäuse. Heißes Waschen zwanzig Minuten nach der letzten Session beendet die Lebensdauer von Schaltern auf einem Rennstreckenbike, nicht die Runden selbst.
Aus dem Vollen gefräst
Ein Block Ergal 7075. Die Halterung bleibt starr, wenn ein Bedienelement fest durch einen Handschuh gedrückt wird, was genau der Moment ist, in dem es darauf ankommt.
Zehntausendfünfhundert Umdrehungen
Der 659-cm³-Zweizylinder dreht ungewöhnlich hoch, weil er Zylinderabmessungen von Superbikes übernommen hat. Er honoriert es, gefordert zu werden, wie sonst nichts in dieser Klasse.
Reversibel
Vorverkabelt an Aprilias Stecker, nichts durchtrennt. Das Bike kehrt innerhalb derselben Viertelstunde zur Serienausstattung zurück.
Struktur statt Rahmenheck
Die Schwinge verschraubt direkt mit dem Motor, und es gibt kein konventionelles Heckrahmen überhaupt. Das ist der Grund, warum das Motorrad 183 Kilogramm wiegt, und auch der Grund, warum sich am Fahrwerk danach kaum etwas verändern lässt, was die Aufmerksamkeit der Besitzer konsequent auf die Teile lenkt, die sich verändern lassen.
