Die vollständige Ausstattung
Semiaktives Öhlins, geschmiedete Räder, Carbonteile, integrierte Winglets und 217 PS. Auf der Optionsliste bleibt kaum noch etwas übrig, und genau das lässt den serienmäßigen Schalter vom Sattel aus auffallen.
Zweihundertsiebzehn PS
Der 1099-cm³-V4 erfüllt Euro 5 und leistet dabei mehr, als der 999-cm³-Motor jemals leistete, und zieht ab sechstausend Umdrehungen so durch, wie es das frühere Modell schlicht nicht tat. Die Vergrößerung beseitigte den einen beständigen Kritikpunkt des Modells.
Anpassung zwischen den Läufen
Fahrwerksmodus, Kennfeld, Traktion und Motorbremse liegen alle hinter diesem Block. Eine auf der Rennstrecke bewegte Factory erlebt diese Änderungen mehrmals täglich, Session für Session, über eine ganze Saison.
Warum die Reihenfolge abweicht
Das Race-Layout verlegt den blauen Taster an das untere Ende der Reihe. Beim Bremsen erreicht der Daumen zuerst diese Stelle, und eine Taste, die allein über die Geometrie gefunden wird, benötigt überhaupt keine Aufmerksamkeit.
Wo das Budget endete
Aprilia stattete Fahrwerk, Räder, Aerodynamik und Elektronik auf einem Niveau aus, das zu diesem Preis sonst niemand bietet. Der Kunststoffschalter am Lenker stammte aus der gewöhnlichen Serienfertigung und liegt genau im Blickfeld des Fahrers.
Schwarz oder Titanfarben
Beide durch die Oberfläche hindurch eloxiert. Titanfarben steht zwischen Carbon und Gold, ohne mit beidem zu konkurrieren, was an einem Motorrad, das beides trägt, meist die gelungenere Lösung ist.
Abgedichtete Elemente
Eingeschlossen im gefrästen Gehäuse. Ein Bahnmotorrad wird nach jeder Ausfahrt heiß gewaschen, und eindringendes Wasser statt mechanischer Verschleiß beendet tatsächlich das Leben seiner Schalter.
Kein Eingriff in die Elektrik
Der Kabelstrang endet im Stecker von Aprilia. Nichts wird durchtrennt und nichts codiert, sodass sich die Änderung vor einem Verkauf spurlos rückgängig machen lässt.
