Eine unwahrscheinliche Ausstattung
Eine reduzierte Schaltereinheit an einem Sporttourer ist eine Minderheitenentscheidung, und sie wird meist von Fahrern getroffen, die weniger vor sich haben wollen, statt von jemandem, der sich für eine Startaufstellung vorbereitet. Die Nachfrage ist klein, aber real.
Was tatsächlich entfernt wird
Die Positionen für Blinker und Hupe. Auf einem zulassungsfähigen Motorrad hat das Konsequenzen, weshalb diese Schaltereinheit auf ein Motorrad gehört, das auf Privatgelände genutzt wird, oder eines, bei dem diese Bedienelemente bewusst verlegt wurden.
Die schnelle Tourenmaschine
Die Tracer 9 ist schneller, als ihre Rolle vermuten lässt. Der CP3-Dreizylinder verleiht ihr echtes Tempo, und das Fahrwerk wurde mit einer längeren Schwinge und überarbeiteter Geometrie deutlich verbessert. Trackdays auf ihr sind weniger abwegig, als es klingt.
Serienkabelbaum
Kein Nachrüstkabelbaum ist nötig. Yamahas Stecker und das werksseitige Steuergerät werden verwendet, und das kurvenabhängige ABS sowie die Fahrmodi funktionieren alle weiter wie ausgeliefert.
Gefräst statt gespritzt
Ein Block Ergal 7075 mit abgedichteten Schaltelementen. Keine geclipste Verbindung, die unter der ungleichmäßigen Zündfolge des Dreizylinders Spiel entwickelt, und keine Naht, durch die an einem langen nassen Tag Wasser eindringen könnte.
Ein Cockpit mit Platz
Der Lenker der Tracer trägt Halterungen, einen Scheibenversteller und oft Griffheizungsbedienung. Ein reduziertes Gehäuse nimmt weniger von diesem Platz ein als die Serieneinheit, was ein praktischer Vorteil statt eines ästhetischen ist.
Zwei Oberflächen
Schwarz und Titanfarben, beide durchgehend eloxiert. Vor einem großen Display und dunklen Kunststoffteilen ist Schwarz die Option, die verschwindet.
