Bessere Bremsen, besseres Fahrwerk und eine schärfere Abstimmung als die S. Die R ist die Version, die die meisten Besitzer kaufen sollten.
Zwei Auspuffanlagen, zwei Kennfelder
Wer werktags einen Straßenschalldämpfer fährt und am Wochenende einen Renn-Endtopf, kann beide Kennfelder auf dem Laptop vorhalten und jeweils das aufspielen, das das Motorrad gerade braucht.
Nicht für ein serienmäßiges Motorrad
Eine unveränderte Maschine mit Original-Auspuff braucht kein programmierbares Kennfeld. Das günstigere vorkonfigurierte Modul deckt diesen Fall ab, und dieses Gerät wäre dafür überdimensioniert.
Kein Produkt für ein serienmäßiges Motorrad
Ein unverändertes Motorrad mit Werksauspuff hat keinen Nutzen von einem programmierbaren Kennfeld. Der Hersteller sagt das selbst, indem er Rennsport-Modifikationen als Begründung nennt.
Last ist nicht gleich Drosselklappe
Bei den meisten Systemen wird die Lastachse aus dem Ansaugdruck oder aus Drosselklappenwinkel und Drehzahl gemeinsam abgeleitet. Zu wissen, welches davon für das jeweilige Motorrad gilt, ist vor der ersten Änderung entscheidend.
Ein Nachmittag für den Einbau
Steckverbinder, ein Montageort, Kabelbinder. Die mechanische Arbeit ist dieselbe wie beim vorkonfigurierten Modul, und sie ist der anspruchsloseste Teil beim Besitz dieses Geräts.
Der Sinn der Sache
Ein veränderter Motor verdient ein Gemisch, das dieser Veränderung folgt. Dieses Gerät ist das Werkzeug, um das richtig zu tun statt nur ungefähr.
Der Luftfilterkasten spielt eine Rolle
Alles, was den Ansaugluftstrom verändert, verändert die gesamte Fläche. Besitzer, die den Luftfilterkasten nach der Abstimmung verändern, haben eine neue Abstimmungssitzung vor sich, keine kleine Anpassung.
Was sich auf der Straße ändert
Nichts Dramatisches. Das Zögern beim Schließen der Drosselklappe verschwindet, das Ruckeln bei konstanter Geschwindigkeit verschwindet, und der Motor antwortet bei jeder Kurvenausfahrt gleich. Gute Abstimmung spürt man als Abwesenheit von Problemen.
