Kein Produkt für ein Serienmotorrad
Ein unverändertes Motorrad mit Serienauspuff hat für ein programmierbares Kennfeld keine Verwendung. Der Hersteller sagt das selbst, indem er Rennmodifikationen als Grund angibt.
Die Serien-Sonde reicht nicht
Eine Narrowband-Lambdasonde meldet nur, ob man nahe am stöchiometrischen Wert liegt. Sie kann nicht sagen, was das Gemisch bei Volllast tatsächlich tut, genau dort, wo man es wissen muss.
Messen oder raten
Eine dritte Option gibt es nicht. Eine Breitband-Sonde macht aus dem Abstimmen Technik; ohne sie ist es eine teure Art, sich Meinungen über einen Motor zu bilden.
Der Drehzahlbegrenzer bleibt
Er gehört zum Serien-Steuergerät, und keine Abstimmung verschiebt ihn. Wer auf mehr Drehzahl hofft, schaut auf die falsche Komponente.
Laststützpunkte und Stützstellen
Die Achsen des Kennfelds sind an festen, für den Motor gewählten Punkten unterteilt. Zu wissen, wo diese Stützstellen liegen, zeigt dem Abstimmer, welche Zellen eine bestimmte Geschwindigkeit tatsächlich nutzt.
Kein Ersatz für mechanische Arbeit
Verschlissene Führungen, eine müde Kette, ein verstopfter Filter oder ein undichter Ansauggummi erzeugen alle Symptome, die ein Kennfeld nicht beheben kann. Mehr Kraftstoff über einem mechanischen Defekt verzögert die Reparatur und verdeckt die Ursache.
