Interpolation zwischen den Zellen
Das Steuergerät springt nicht von einem Wert zum nächsten. Es überblendet zwischen benachbarten Zellen, weshalb ein glattes Kennfeld einen glatten Motor ergibt und ein zerklüftetes nicht.
Auflösung ist entscheidend
Ein Kennfeld mit zu wenigen Zellen zwingt das Steuergerät, über große Lücken zu interpolieren, und der Motor spürt das. Erst genügend Auflösung macht kleine, lokale Korrekturen überhaupt möglich.
Zwischen Kabelbaum und Einspritzventilen
Elektrisch sitzt dieses Steuergerät an derselben Stelle wie das voreingestellte Modul und erledigt dieselbe physische Aufgabe. Der Unterschied liegt allein darin, wer die Zahlen festlegt und wie viele davon es gibt.
Ehrlich über den Aufwand
Dieses Steuergerät bewirkt von sich aus nichts. Mit einem Plan gekauft, entsteht ein Motorrad, das überall korrekt läuft; aus einer Laune heraus gekauft, entsteht ein teurer Passagier.
Wie sich ein schlechtes anfühlt
Schwanken zwischen Betriebspunkten, ein Loch, das wandert statt zu verschwinden, und ein Motor, der sich auf zwei identischen Kurvenausgängen unterschiedlich verhält.
Vibration
Elektronik am Motorrad versagt eher durch Vibration als durch Nässe. Ein Gehäuse, das flach gegen eine Fläche befestigt ist, überlebt länger als eines, das nur am eigenen Kabelbaum hängt.
Der Lohn für den Aufwand
Ein Motor, der von überall sauber zieht, eine konstante Geschwindigkeit ohne Pendeln hält und an jedem Kurvenausgang gleich auf das Gas antwortet.
Die Bohrung für die Breitbandsonde
Die meisten Nachrüstauspuffanlagen haben einen freien Stutzen oder lassen sich einen einschweißen. Das vor der Montage der Anlage einzuplanen, erspart ein erneutes Abbauen – etwas, an das vorher kaum jemand denkt.
