The JP ES KIT19 takes the whole secondary air system off the Monster 1200 R in one order, which matters because both parts sit behind the same tank and the same airbox.

Built in Small Numbers
The R was never a volume model, which keeps used values firm and makes good examples considerably harder to find than standard 1200s.
Both Halves in One Box
The connector that satisfies the controller and the machined blank that closes the head. Ordered together they cost less than the two parts bought apart.
No Change to the Map
The fuelling tables are untouched. What changes is that exhaust readings stop being diluted by air the system was injecting.
Weight Is Not the Point
A few hundred grams leave the motorcycle. Nobody will notice and nobody should buy this expecting to.
The Panel Argument
A stored fault mask other faults behind it, which is the practical reason not to leave a solenoid simply unplugged.
Resistance, Not Trickery
The connector presents a value inside the window the controller expects from a healthy solenoid. There is no signal being generated or intercepted.
Checking the Airbox Seal
The lid has to seat properly on reassembly or the engine draws unfiltered air, which is precisely the outcome the intake fitting was there to prevent. It takes ten seconds to check and it is the last thing anybody remembers to do.
The Third Thing Nobody Mentions
The hose port at the airbox end stays open once the housing is gone, and closing it properly is part of the job rather than an afterthought. Unfiltered air into an intake is a worse outcome by a considerable margin than the system that was removed.
Both Cylinder Heads
Twins and V4s carry an assembly on each head. A kit covers what the motorcycle needs, but the access does not: the rear bank is always the harder one, and planning the evening around that rather than around the front cylinder is what keeps the job to a single session.
