Siebenhundertfünfundsechzig Kubikzentimeter
Triumph vergrößerte den Dreizylinder für 2017 und gewann überall Drehmoment. Die S ist die Einstiegsversion und steht den anderen weniger nach, als ihr Schriftzug vermuten lässt.

Ein Stecker
Der originale Triumph-Stecker, vorverdrahtet, nichts gespleißt. Der Tausch dauert etwa so lange, wie man braucht, um den Stecker unter dem Tank zu finden.
Nichts zu codieren
Kein Anlernvorgang, kein Zurücksetzen und kein Termin. Der Selbsttest wird ab dem ersten Zündzyklus bestanden, und das Display verhält sich genau wie zuvor.
Normales Werkzeug
Für diese Arbeit braucht es weder einen Spezialadapter noch einen Diagnoseanschluss. Tank ab, Stecker raus, Eliminator rein, Tank drauf.
Was ein Fehler kostet
Eine Drahtbrücke über die Kontakte erzeugt einen Widerstand, den das Steuergerät nicht erwartet, und der daraus entstehende Code ist schwerer zu diagnostizieren, als es das ursprüngliche Fehlen gewesen wäre. Es richtig zu machen ist günstiger, als es später zu erklären.
Drei Zylinder machen es lauter
Ein Dreizylinder führt drei Abgasimpulse in einem einzigen Volumen zusammen, und Rückstände, die dort verbrennen, erzeugen einen schärferen Knall, als ein Zweizylinder zustande bringt. Das ist einer der Gründe, warum Triumph-Besitzer mehr darüber reden als Besitzer anderer Marken.
Hat nichts mit der Auspuffklappe zu tun
Mehrere Triumph-Modelle haben zusätzlich eine servobetätigte Klappe im Schalldämpfer, ein eigenes System mit eigenem Zweck. Wer die beiden verwechselt, bestellt das falsche Teil.
Ein Platz für die Sitzbank
