Der Granturismo V4
Ducati stellte die Diavel 2023 auf den V4 um, mit federgeschlossenen Ventilen und Wartungsintervallen von sechzigtausend Kilometern. Sie ist ein deutlich moderneres Motorrad.
Impedanz statt Brücke
Dieses Bauteil antwortet mit dem Wert, den das Steuergerät erwartet. Ein Draht, der die Kontakte überbrückt, antwortet mit einem anderen, falschen Wert und erzeugt einen eigenen Fehlercode.
Nicht dasselbe wie ein Kat-Ausbau
Das Entfernen eines Katalysators ist eine eigene Änderung mit eigenen Folgen. Beides wird häufig zusammen gemacht und betrifft unterschiedliche Teile der Abgasanlage.
Der komplette Weg
Airbox, Schlauch, Membranventileinheit, Anschluss am Zylinderkopf und ein überwachtes Magnetventil. Eine vollständige Stilllegung berücksichtigt all diese Teile und nicht nur die bequemen.
Der Preis der Abkürzung
Eine Drahtbrücke erzeugt einen Widerstand, mit dem das Steuergerät nicht rechnet, und der daraus folgende Fehlercode ist schwerer zu diagnostizieren als das ursprüngliche Fehlen des Ventils.
Kein Zusammenhang mit der Auspuffklappe
Mehrere Ducati-Modelle haben zusätzlich eine servobetätigte Klappe im Schalldämpfer, und das ist ein völlig separates System. Wer die beiden verwechselt, bestellt das falsche Teil.
Das Geräusch ist kein Defekt
Fahrer gehen häufig davon aus, dass etwas nicht stimmt, weil ein Motor mit unerwarteten Geräuschen beunruhigt. Doch nichts ist kaputt, und die Abgasreinigung hat das Geräusch schon die ganze Zeit erzeugt.
Den Fehler vor der Bestellung auslesen
Der gespeicherte Code sagt, welchen Stromkreis das Steuergerät verloren hat, nicht warum. Ein elektrisch ausgefallenes Magnetventil und ein mechanisch gerissenes Membranplättchen erzeugen unterschiedliche Symptome, und das zweite zeigt sich in der Airbox statt im Cockpit. Wer nur die elektrische Hälfte kauft, sollte zuerst in die Airbox schauen, denn ein verrußtes Filterelement bedeutet, dass auch das Gehäuse Aufmerksamkeit braucht, und dann ist der Abend besser damit verbracht, beides zu erledigen.
Die Verriegelungslasche des Steckers
Ducatis Stecker rasten ein, und die Verriegelung löst sich nicht immer dort, wo ein Daumen im Handschuh es erwartet. Wer an der falschen Stelle hebelt, bricht die Lasche ab, und ein Stecker mit abgebrochener Lasche muss ersetzt werden, statt sich noch überreden zu lassen. Sich den Stecker anzusehen, bevor man daran zieht, ist schon die ganze Technik.
