Triumph überarbeitete Motor, Elektronik und Design. Die Scheinwerfer änderten sich erneut, was die übliche Diskussion auslöste und sich innerhalb eines Jahres wieder legte.

Tester und Besitzer kommen meist zum gleichen Schluss: Die R besitzt alles Wesentliche, und die RS legt vor allem der Form wegen noch etwas obendrauf.
Ein Arbeitsgang
Alles, was das Kit ersetzt, befindet sich im selben Bereich und erfordert den gleichen Ausbau, was das gesamte praktische Argument für den Kauf als Set ist.
Zwei Stunden mit gewöhnlichem Werkzeug
Keine spezielle Montage, keine Diagnoseverbindung und kein Anlernvorgang. Der längste Teil der Arbeit ist das Entfernen des Tanks.

Kaum jemand, der nur eine Hälfte möchte, ist damit lange zufrieden. Das Kit existiert, weil die beiden Teile zwei Hälften derselben Absicht sind.
Der gesamte Arbeitsablauf
Sitzbank, Tank, Schlauch an beiden Enden lösen, Lamellenventilgehäuse entfernen, Abdeckung montieren und anziehen, Eliminator einstecken, alles wieder zusammenbauen und eine kurze Testfahrt. Höchstens zwei Stunden, und der größte Teil davon betrifft die Verkleidung.
Bei einem Motorrad mit Garantie
Der Ausbau von Abgasanlagenkomponenten gibt einem Händler einen Grund, einen entsprechenden Anspruch abzulehnen. Das sollte sorgfältig abgewogen werden, statt es erst nach dem Ausfall eines Bauteils festzustellen.
Was dokumentiert wird
Das Datum, die entfernten Teile und ihr Aufbewahrungsort. Wer dieses Motorrad in fünf Jahren diagnostiziert, geht sonst davon aus, dass die Abgaskomponenten vorhanden sind, und verbringt eine Stunde damit, das Gegenteil festzustellen.
Der Zugang ist der aufwendige Teil
Die Bauteile sind günstig und die Arbeit ist kurz. Zeit kostet der Zugang zu ihnen, und das ist das gesamte Argument dafür, alles auf einmal zu erledigen.
