Was deaktiviert wird
Ein elektrisch geöffnetes Ventil und die Anforderung, die es an das Steuergerät stellt. Die zugeführte Luft verbessert einen Prüfwert und nichts, was ein Fahrer spürt.
Die elektrische Prüfung
Die Durchgängigkeit der Wicklung wird bei jedem Zündzyklus ausgelesen. Ein leerer Stecker erzeugt eine Warnung, die bleibt, bis der Stromkreis korrekt beantwortet wird.
Impedanz statt Brücke
Der Eliminator liefert den vom Steuergerät erwarteten Wert. Eine Brücke zwischen den Pins ergibt eine andere Antwort und einen anderen Fehler.
Vier Fahrmodi
Darunter ein echter Offroad-Modus, der die Traktionskontrolle lockert und das Hinterrad-ABS abschaltet. Aprilia hat das richtig umgesetzt und nicht nur als Werbezeile.
Im Einsatz bei Rallye-Raids
Die Tuareg fährt nahezu seit ihrer Einführung bei Geländewettbewerben mit. Diese Maschinen werden von allem entledigt, was das Reglement erlaubt, und das steht auf der Liste.
Achthundertsechzig Millimeter
Sitzhöhe, die hoch und angesichts des Federwegs unvermeidlich ist. Aprilia bietet eine niedrigere Sitzbank an und hat dafür die Geometrie nicht verändert.
Weniger Schläuche über dem Motor
Jedes Kunststoffteil und jede Klammer ist etwas, das ein Sturz auf Felsen finden kann. Ihr Wegfall beseitigt eine mögliche Fehlerquelle weit entfernt von jeder Hilfe.
Vor jeder Arbeit an der Gemischaufbereitung
Luft, die nach der Verbrennung in den Auspuff eintritt, verschiebt die Lambdawerte, und ein für große Höhe oder schlechten Kraftstoff abgestimmtes Motorrad braucht ehrliche Zahlen.
Die mechanische Hälfte
Der Membranblock bleibt am Kopf, bis die Abdeckung ihn ersetzt.
Homologation
In Europa befindet sich eine Maschine ohne diese Ausrüstung nicht mehr in ihrem zugelassenen Zustand, was eine Frage der Zulassung und nicht der Technik ist.
Schlauchlose Speichenräder
Speichen, die ohne Schlauch abdichten, machen aus einer Reifenpanne eine Reparatur am Straßenrand statt einer Bergung. Bei einem Motorrad, das weit abseits jeder Hilfe gefahren werden soll, ist diese eine Entscheidung mehr wert als mehrere der elektronischen.
