A Cafe Racer Street Twin
Clip-on style bars, a seat cowl and bar-end mirrors on the 900 twin. It is styling applied to a thoroughly sensible motorcycle.
Warranty
A dealer will see an additional module the moment they lift the seat. On a motorcycle still inside its term the sensible course is to unplug it before an appointment, which takes minutes and leaves no trace at all.
Removal Before a Service
Five minutes with the seat off returns the motorcycle to standard. Whether that is necessary depends on the dealer and the term, but the option existing at all is part of what the product is.
Where It Makes the Biggest Difference
An older injected machine with an aftermarket exhaust, ridden briskly on roads. That combination is where the standard mixture is furthest from what the engine now wants.
No Settings to Get Wrong
A preset curve cannot be misconfigured, cannot be lost when a battery is disconnected and cannot be blamed for a fault six months later. That reliability is the argument for buying the simpler of the two units.
Nothing at the Pump
Fuel consumption stays where it was within any margin anybody can measure on a road. Claims in either direction should be treated with suspicion.
If Something Goes Wrong
Unplug it and the motorcycle is standard. That single sentence is worth more during a diagnosis than any amount of documentation, and it is not true of a reflashed controller.
Fitting Without a Manual
The connectors only mate one way and the harness is cut to length. There is genuinely nothing to get wrong beyond deciding where to put the module and securing it there.
