The JP MJ 007 adds a fuel correction to the 990RC R where the factory map had to be careful, and does it without a laptop, a dyno session or a remap.

Clip-Ons and Bodywork
KTM put a fairing on the middleweight twin, which drops the wrists and changes what the rider asks of the engine on a corner exit.
The Lambda Sensor Keeps Working
At small openings the controller still trims the mixture against the oxygen sensor, which means the module works alongside that loop rather than fighting it. At larger openings the sensor drops out and the module's correction is what remains.
What a Dyno Would Show
Very little at peak. The differences a fuel module makes are at part throttle and in transition, which is precisely the part of the map a full-throttle power run never visits.
Lambda Control Is Not Bypassed
The module works with the oxygen sensor loop rather than around it. Nothing is disconnected, spoofed or hidden, which is one reason the fault memory stays clean.
A Question of Expectations
Bought as a power part it will disappoint. Bought as a smoothness part it consistently satisfies, and the manufacturer's own description says which of the two it is.
The Legal Note
Fuelling is part of the emissions approval in most of Europe. A modified mixture puts the machine outside its approved condition, and that is a local question with a local answer.
A Long-Lived Component
There is nothing in it that ages: no relay, no moving part and no user setting to drift. Fitted properly it will outlast several sets of tyres without being thought about.
After a Service
Nothing about the module needs resetting when the motorcycle is serviced. Filters, plugs and oil changes have no interaction with it whatsoever.
