The JP MJ 001 takes the Tuono V4 1100's factory mixture and adds the correction the engine actually wants, without any of the original electronics being reprogrammed.

Bored Out for Torque
Aprilia took the V4 to 1077 cc for the Tuono, trading a little top end for midrange the naked bike could actually use. The fuelling below six thousand is where it lives.
Fuel Consumption
Expect no meaningful change. A richer cruise setting costs a little and a smoother throttle hand saves a little, and in practice the two cancel. Nobody should buy this expecting to notice anything at the pump.
On an Older Motorcycle
Early injection systems were mapped more coarsely than current ones and frequently ran leaner. A module tends to make a bigger difference on a machine from the two thousands than on one from last year.
The Limits of a Module
It cannot repair a mechanical fault, cannot raise a rev limit and cannot alter ignition timing. Everything it does is fuel quantity, which is a narrow tool used precisely.
What It Will Not Do
Raise a rev limit, alter ignition, change a rider aid or repair a worn sensor. Being clear about that is more useful than a longer list of what it does.
Nothing at the Pump
Fuel consumption stays where it was within any margin anybody can measure on a road. Claims in either direction should be treated with suspicion.
Winter Storage
Nothing about the module objects to a cold garage and there is no battery in it. It draws no current when the ignition is off and needs no attention over a layup.
If the Bike Runs Worse
Unplug it and ride the same road. Ten minutes settles whether the module is responsible, which is a diagnostic luxury that reflashing the controller does not offer.
