Die Streetfighter V4S (2020–2024) ergänzt den Basis-V4 um Öhlins-Fahrwerk und Schmiederäder, ein montierter JetPrime Schnellgasgriff entfernt trotzdem denselben werksseitigen Schalterblock. Der bronzene Schalterblock JP PDQ DU020 E, CNC-gefräst aus Ergal, ersetzt ihn am neuen Gaskörper mit dem serienmäßigen Stecker.

Das Budget einer V4S endet meist vor dem Cockpit
Semiaktives Öhlins und Schmiederäder ziehen bei einem V4S-Aufbau die meiste Aufmerksamkeit und das meiste Geld auf sich, die Schalterbaugruppe gerät für viele Besitzer erst dann ins Bild, wenn der Schnellgasgriff montiert wird und die Hupentaste mit der alten Einheit verschwindet.
Dasselbe Problem wie beim Standardmodell
Da sich die V4S Gaskörper und Schalterbauweise mit der Basis-Streetfighter V4 teilt, entfernt der Einbau eines Schnellgasgriffs den werksseitigen Schalter auf beiden Modellen gleich. Dieser Block löst es identisch, unabhängig von der Ausstattungsstufe. Dieser Umbau fühlt sich an beiden Ausstattungsstufen gleich an.
Nur relevant mit montiertem Gasgriff
Dieser Schalter besitzt keine eigene Lenkerhalterung. An einer V4S mit Original-Gaskörper gibt es nichts, an dem er befestigt werden könnte, deshalb wird er ausschließlich zusammen mit dem Schnellgasgriff-Umbau verkauft. Er wird ohne diesen Umbau nie als eigenständiges Teil angeboten. Das gilt auch dann, wenn später ein anderer Auspuff oder Luftfilter nachgerüstet wird.
Ein gefrästes Gehäuse passend zur restlichen Ausstattung
CNC-Fräsen aus massivem Ergal 7075 gibt diesem Schalter einen Baustandard, der zu einem Motorrad mit Schmiederädern und semiaktivem Fahrwerk passt. Das Gehäuse bleibt steif genug, um sein Schaltgefühl unter der Vibration eines unverkleideten V4 zu halten. Das zählt besonders an einem Motorrad ohne jede Verkleidung im Wind.
Serienmäßiger Ducati-Stecker, nichts ergänzt
Die Verkabelung steckt in denselben Stecker, der werksseitig an jeder Streetfighter V4S verbaut ist, kein Schneiden nötig. Das hält den gesamten Schnellgasgriff-Umbau reversibel, was bei einem Modell zählt, das viele Besitzer mit intakter Original-Elektrik weiterverkaufen. Käufer, die sich für diese Ausstattung entscheiden, akzeptieren selten ein halb fertiges Detail im Cockpit.
