Um einen Rennmotor herum gebaut
Triumph belieferte das Moto2-Feld mit dem 765er-Dreizylinder und verkaufte danach eine limitierte Straßenversion mit derselben Motorspezifikation. Es ist die schärfste je gebaute Daytona.
Wie weit sich der Serien-Gasgriff dreht
Die meisten Hersteller wählen etwa siebzig bis neunzig Grad, damit ein Anfänger ihn nicht versehentlich voll öffnet. Sechzig Grad ist eine bewusste Abweichung davon.
Fahrmodi
Regen, Straße, Sport und was der Hersteller sonst anbietet, funktionieren weiterhin genau wie zuvor. Die Baugruppe meldet einen Winkel und nichts weiter.
Drehmoment am Lenker
Die Klemmschrauben sind klein und greifen in Aluminium. Die Werte sind niedrig und sollten nachgeschlagen statt am Lenker geschätzt werden.
Zwei Fahrer, ein Motorrad
Ein Kurzhub-Gasgriff ist eine Vorliebe und keine Verbesserung. Ein Motorrad, das sich ein Rennstreckenfahrer und ein Pendler teilen, spricht dafür, das Serienteil griffbereit zu halten.
Wenn das Motorrad nicht im Leerlauf läuft
Das häufigste Symptom eines ausgelassenen Resets. Es ist kein Schaden und kein defektes Bauteil, sondern ein Steuergerät, das sich auf ein nicht mehr vorhandenes Bauteil bezieht.
Die Gewohnheit bleibt
Fahrer, die dieses Bauteil an einer Maschine fahren, finden den Serien-Gasgriff an einer anderen danach oft ungenau. Es ist eine Vorliebe, die mit der Hand mitreist.
Kauf eines Motorrads mit verbautem Bauteil
Nach der Serienbaugruppe fragen. Ein Motorrad, das mit dem verpackten Original angeboten wird, ist ein unkomplizierter Kauf; eines ohne bedeutet eine halbe Stunde plus die Kosten für einen Ersatz. Es lohnt sich auch zu prüfen, ob der Reset durchgeführt wurde, denn ein sauberer Leerlauf ist der beste Beweis dafür.
Varianten mit Rennkabelbaum
Manche Modelle erscheinen zweimal im Katalog, weil ein Rennkabelbaum oder ein anderes Motorsteuergerät am Gasgriff eine andere Anordnung erwartet. Die Straßenversion an einer rennverkabelten Maschine zu verbauen ist keine Abkürzung, sondern ein Fehler, der nur darauf wartet, aufzutreten.
