Neun Jahre, eine Aufnahme
Honda überarbeitete die Fireblade in diesem Zeitraum erheblich — Traktionskontrolle kam dazu, die SP bekam Öhlins und Brembo, die Verkleidung wechselte zweimal. Die Zündungsbaugruppe war nie Teil davon. Für den Besitzer heißt das praktisch: Ein für eine frühe SC59 gekaufter Taster passt ohne Anpassung an eine späte SP.
Die Wegfahrsperre
HISS liest einen Transponder im Schlüssel über einen Antennenring um den Zylinder, der Ausbau des Zylinders allein legt das Motorrad also still. Die mitgelieferte Key Box nimmt den originalen Honda-Schlüssel auf und wird direkt an diese Antenne verkabelt. Das System bleibt exakt so, wie Honda es entworfen hat — nichts wird umgangen — während das Schloss das Cockpit verlässt.
Ein Argument für ältere Motorräder
An einer inzwischen fünfzehn Jahre alten Fireblade hatte der serienmäßige Schließzylinder lange Zeit, Wasser und Schmutz zu sammeln, und ein klemmender Zylinder am Rennmorgen ist ein realer Ausfall. Ihn durch einen gekapselten IP69K-Taster zu ersetzen, entfernt den Mechanismus ganz, statt ihn zu warten — bei einem Motorrad dieses Alters meist die bessere Antwort.
