Als Ducati den Superquadro auf 1.285 cm³ streckte, war die Panigale 1299 längst ein Motorrad, das man kauft, um es hart zu bewegen. Der geerbte Zündschlosszylinder änderte sich nicht mit. JetPrimes JP KS DU005 entfernt ihn samt Schlüssel — und dieselbe Artikelnummer trägt auch die 1199 R und die 1299 R, die sich Aufnahme und Steckverbinder teilen.

Warum die Panigale R auf dieser Nummer steht
Die Panigale R der Jahre 2015 bis 2017 fährt den 1.198-cm³-Motor statt des 1.285ers und wird deshalb oft getrennt von der 1299er-Familie geführt. Mechanisch teilt sie sich die obere Gabelbrücke und den Zündungsstecker mit der 1299, weshalb JetPrime sie derselben Nummer zuordnet. Wer eine R besitzt und bisher unter „1199" gesucht hat: Das hier ist das richtige Teil.
Zur Oberfläche
Das Gehäuse ist schwarz eloxiert — die Ausführung, die auf einer Ducati-Gabelbrücke verschwindet, statt sich anzukündigen. Eloxieren erzeugt eine in das Metall integrierte Schicht statt einer Beschichtung, deshalb platzt an den Kanten nichts ab, wenn eine Tankrucksack-Schlaufe oder ein Knie den Taster streift. Auf einer 1299 ist das relevant: Der Zündungsbereich liegt genau dort, wo sich der Fahrer über das Motorrad bewegt.
