Das Volumenmodell
Von der Street Twin wurden mehr Stück verkauft als von jedem anderen Modern Classic. Das heißt: mehr davon sind heute gebraucht, mehr werden mit knappem Budget gewartet, und mehr werden umgebaut. Alle drei Situationen enden bei derselben Frage — was ist dieser schwarze Kunststoffkasten und muss er da sein.
Umbauten fangen hier an
Die Street Twin ist der übliche Ausgangspunkt für Triumph-Aufbauten — kürzere Sitzeinheiten, freigelegte Rahmenschleifen, Lenkerenden für alles. Behälter und Schläuche sitzen dort, wo ein gekürztes Heck hin will, und deshalb kommt das an diesem Modell so beständig auf.
Zwei Generationen
Triumph hat die Street Twin 2021 für Euro 5 überarbeitet und sie später in Speed Twin 900 umbenannt. Die Verdunstungsanordnung änderte sich 2021. Drei Namen, zwei Artikelnummern — das Baujahr ist es, was die Sache klärt.
