Eine Einheit, zwei Aufgaben
Ducati setzt die rechten Schalter in das Gasgriffgehäuse. Dieses Bauteil ersetzt beide und wird an den Originalstecker des Motorrads angeschlossen, ohne dass etwas gespleißt wird.
Eine Panigale ohne Verkleidung
Ducati hob den Lenker an, entfernte die Verkleidung und beließ den 1103-cm³-Motor bei 208 PS. Es ist ein absurdes Motorrad, und das Unternehmen wusste genau, was es tat.
Doppelstöckige Winglets
Zwei Elemente pro Seite, angebracht, weil ein Naked Bike mit so viel Leistung bei Geschwindigkeiten das Vorderrad abhebt, bei denen das unerwünscht ist. Sie sind zuerst funktional und erst danach auffällig.
Abgedichtete Kontakte
Im gefrästen Gehäuse eingeschlossen. Ohne jede Verkleidung trifft Regen die Einheit direkt bei Fahrgeschwindigkeit und bleibt dort die ganze Fahrt über.
Eine gefräste Gasgriffbohrung
Gefräst statt geformt, sodass das Rohr konzentrisch bleibt und der Sensor ehrlich liest. Bei einem Motor mit so viel Drehmoment sind kleine Gasgriffstellungen die Stelle, an der der Fahrer arbeitet.
Schwarz eloxiert
In die Oberfläche umgewandelt. Bei einem Naked Bike ist das Cockpit auch von außen sichtbar, nicht nur vom Sattel aus.
Ergal 7075
Eine Luft- und Raumfahrtlegierung mit etwa der doppelten Streckgrenze gewöhnlicher Frästeile-Legierung. Sie verformt sich nicht bei dem Sturz mit geringer Geschwindigkeit, dem ein Naked Bike irgendwann begegnet.
Wohin der Luftfilterkasten wanderte
Der Verzicht auf die Verkleidung bedeutete, den V4 über Öffnungen neben dem Lenkkopf statt über eine Verkleidungsnase zu versorgen. Es ist eine von mehreren Stellen, an denen die Streetfighter ein Redesign ist und keine bloße Abschraubung.
Ducatis eigener Stecker
Vorverkabelt mit dem Originalstecker, sodass der Austausch mechanisch ist und in der Diagnose nichts zurücklässt.
Eine Verkleidung, die niemand vermisst hat
Ducati entfernte die Karosserie und erhielt ein Motorrad, das leichter zu überblicken ist, leichter zu besteigen und bei Geschwindigkeiten unter dreistellig deutlich unterhaltsamer. Es gab fast nichts auf, was ein Straßenfahrer tatsächlich nutzt, und das ist das ganze Argument für diese Kategorie.
