Die letzte Version
Ducati baute dieses Modell nur zwei Modelljahre lang und stellte es dann ein. Nichts im aktuellen Programm leistet, was dieses Motorrad leistete, weshalb die erhaltenen Exemplare schnell und unauffällig den Besitzer wechseln.
Ein Bauteil
Die Schalter sitzen innerhalb des Gasgriffgehäuses. Ducati verkauft kein kleineres Teil, sodass die komplette Baugruppe die Austauscheinheit ist, egal welchen Weg ein Besitzer wählt.
Drei eloxierte Varianten
Schwarz, Rot und Titanfarben, elektrochemisch in das Aluminium eingewachsen statt aufgesprüht. Das ist mehr Auswahl, als die meisten Teilenummern der Baureihe bieten.
Kurven-ABS serienmäßig
Die 939er-Generation erhielt eine Bosch-Inertialplattform mit schräglagenabhängiger Bremsung. Bei einem Reisemotorrad auf unbekannten Straßen ist das deutlich mehr wert als auf einer Rennstrecke.
Eine Bohrung, die rund bleibt
Maschinell gefertigt statt in einem Werkzeug geformt. Über die Kilometerleistung, die ein Reisemotorrad ansammelt, ist das der Unterschied zwischen einem Gasgriff, der sich noch neu anfühlt, und einem, der es nicht tut.
Eingeschlossene Kontakte
Versiegelt im Gehäuse statt hinter einem Klickdeckel. Klips verlieren über Jahre Vibration ihre Spannung, und ein massives Gehäuse hat von vornherein keine zu verlieren.
Sechzehn Liter
Ein deutlich größerer Tank als bei der Hypermotard. Bei einem Motorrad für echte Fahrten ist das der Unterschied zwischen stündlichem und zweimal täglichem Tankstopp.
Ergal 7075
Etwa doppelt so fest wie gewöhnliches Fräsaluminium. Bei einem beladenen Motorrad trägt der Lenker beim Umfallen deutlich mehr, als es den Anschein hat.
Werksstecker
Nichts gespleißt, nichts codiert. Zwei Schrauben und ein Stecker, und der Kabelbaum bleibt genau so, wie er das Werk verlassen hat.
