Drei Farben zur Wahl
Schwarz, Rot und Titanfarben, allesamt in das Metall eingewachsen statt darauf aufgetragen. Besitzer dieser Motorräder personalisieren sie gern, und diese Teilenummer trägt dem Rechnung.
Eine Baugruppe
Die Schalter sitzen innerhalb des Gasgriffgehäuses, und Ducati bietet keine kleinere Reparatur an. Bei einem Reisemotorrad, dessen Bedienelemente bei schlechtem Wetter ständig genutzt werden, lohnt es sich, das vorher zu wissen.
Koffer inklusive
Ducati rüstete serienmäßig halbstarre Taschen aus, statt sie nur als Zubehör zu listen. Das machte die Hyperstrada direkt ab Showroom alltagstauglich.
Salz, über Saisons
Ein für echte Fahrten genutztes Motorrad trifft auf Winterstraßen. Salz setzt sich in einer geformten Fuge ab und greift einen Kontakt über mehrere Jahre von innen an, statt in einer einzigen nassen Woche.
Eine Öffnung halten
Lange Fahrten bedeuten, den Gasgriff an einer Stelle zu halten, statt ihn ständig zu bewegen. Eine Bohrung, die rund geblieben ist, macht das stabil und die Hand am Ende deutlich frischer.
Eine Zwölf-Volt-Steckdose
Ducati rüstete neben den Taschen Steckdosen und eine Halterung für einen Hauptständer aus. Das war ein ernsthafter Versuch einer Reise-Supermoto, kein reines Markenspiel.
Gefräst aus Ergal 7075
Etwa doppelt so fest wie gewöhnliches Fräsaluminium. Ein beladenes Motorrad bringt beim Umfallen auf einem Campingplatz echte Kraft auf den Lenker.
Leise eingestellt
Ducati stellte den Bau der Hyperstrada nach der 939 ein und ersetzte sie nie. Wer eine besitzt, behält sie, was gebrauchte Exemplare überraschend schwer auffindbar macht.
Nichts durchtrennt
Die Einheit nutzt Ducatis eigenen Stecker. Bei einem Motorrad, das weit entfernt von einer Werkstatt gefahren wird, ist eine Installation ohne Spleißstellen diejenige, die am Ende der Reise noch funktioniert.
