Ein Name mit Dakar-Geschichte
Aprilias Tuareg trat in den 1980er-Jahren bei der Paris-Dakar an, und das Unternehmen belebte den Namen 2021 für eine 659-cm³-Reiseenduro mit Reihenzweizylinder neu. Es ist eine echte Geländemaschine und kein Straßentourer mit grobstolligen Reifen.
Zweihundertvierzig Millimeter Federweg
Voll einstellbares Kayaba-Fahrwerk an beiden Enden, ein 21-Zoll-Speichenrad vorn und eine Sitzhöhe, die davon ausgeht, dass der Fahrer stehen will. Die Ausstattung kommt einem Rallye-Motorrad näher als allem anderen in der Mittelklasse.
Gehäuse und Schalter als eines
Aprilia baut die rechten Bedienelemente in das Gasgriffgehäuse ein, sodass beide gemeinsam erneuert werden. Dieses Bauteil leistet das aus einem einzigen Block Ergal 7075, am Original-Stecker des Motorrads, ohne Verkabelungsänderung.
Es wird hinfallen
Jede Reiseenduro, die dort gefahren wird, wofür die Tuareg gedacht ist, fällt im Schritttempo um, und zwar wiederholt. Das Ende eines breiten Lenkers trifft als Erstes den Boden, und ein gefräster Körper verformt sich dort, wo ein Gussteil mit aufgeklipstem Deckel an der Befestigung brechen würde.
Staub vor Regen
Feiner Sand arbeitet sich in eine Gussnaht ein und bleibt dort, was ihn zerstörerischer macht als Wasser. Abgedichtete Schalterelemente in einem einteiligen gefrästen Körper lassen ihm auf einer langen, staubigen Strecke keine Angriffsfläche.
Stehen verändert den Winkel
Die Ergonomie geht von stehenden Fußrasten im unwegsamen Gelände aus, was die Hand von oben statt von hinten an den Lenker bringt. Gefräste Konturen zwischen den Bedienelementen funktionieren aus beiden Positionen, wo eine aufgedruckte Beschriftung aus keiner funktioniert.
Schwarz eloxiert
Eine Oberfläche, in die Oberfläche umgewandelt. An einem Arbeitsmotorrad, dessen Lenker bereits Handschützer und eine Navigationshalterung trägt, ist die zurückhaltendste verfügbare Komponente die richtige Wahl.
