Ein Adventure-Lenker
Breit, hoch und mit sehr viel Lenkeinschlag. Das MT-Profil ist um diese Geometrie gezeichnet, was hier mehr zählt als bei einem Sportmotorrad, weil die Lenkerenden im Alltag tatsächlich bis zum Anschlag drehen.
Hundertdreizehn PS
Der 937-cm³-Testastretta-Motor im vollwertigen Multistrada-Fahrwerk. Ducati baute die 950, weil die 1200 für viele Käufer mehr Motorrad war, als sie wollten, und preiste sie entsprechend.
Neunzehn Zoll vorn
Der Kompromiss, der die 950 auf Schotterpisten nutzbar macht, ohne sie auf Asphalt zu verderben. Es ist eine ehrlichere Wahl, als es siebzehn oder einundzwanzig Zoll gewesen wären.
Nur das Gehäuse
Dieses Teil lässt den Schalterblock unberührt. Es ersetzt die Gasgriffeinheit, die passende Anschaffung, wenn die Schalterelektrik ordnungsgemäß funktioniert.

Touring bedeutet, eine Gasgriffstellung zu halten, statt sie ständig zu verändern. Eine Bohrung, die rund geblieben ist, hält diese Position stabil und die Hand am Ende eines langen Tages deutlich frischer.

Ergal 7075
Eine Luftfahrtlegierung mit etwa der doppelten Streckgrenze gewöhnlicher gefräster Legierungen. Bei einem hohen Motorrad, das irgendwann umfällt, ist das eine praktische Überlegung.
Vier Modi, die es ernst meinen
Enduro senkt die Motorleistung auf 75 PS und stellt das ABS neu ein. In diesem Modus ist es tatsächlich ein anderes Motorrad und nicht nur eine entschärfte Version desselben.
Serviceintervalle von 30.000 Kilometern
Das Intervall des Testastretta-11-Grad-Motors hat verändert, was eine Ducati im Unterhalt kostet. Bei einem Reisemotorrad, das echte Distanzen zurücklegt, ist das die wichtigste Zahl im gesamten Datenblatt.
