Die kleinere Multistrada
Ein 937-cm³-Testastretta mit 113 PS im vollen Multistrada-Fahrwerk. Ducati baute sie, weil die 1200 mehr Motorrad war, als die meisten Käufer brauchten, und bepreiste sie entsprechend.
Vier Fahrmodi
Sport, Touring, Urban und Enduro, die jeweils Leistungsentfaltung, ABS, Traktionskontrolle und bei manchen Versionen das Fahrwerk verändern. Ducati etablierte diese Idee bei der Multistrada, bevor sie zum Standard wurde.
Neunzehn Zoll vorn
Ducati gab der 950 ein neunzehn Zoll großes Vorderrad, der Kompromiss, der sie auf Schotter wirklich nutzbar macht, ohne sie auf Asphalt zu verderben.
Nur die Gasgriffeinheit
Der Schalterblock bleibt an seinem Platz. Dies deckt allein das Gehäuse ab, was die meisten Besitzer brauchen, wenn die Elektrik noch einwandfrei funktioniert.
Lange Tage am Griff
Eine Multistrada legt Strecke zurück, was stundenlange gleichbleibende Gasgriffstellung bedeutet statt Rundenfahrten. Ein Gehäuse mit präziser Bohrung macht das deutlich weniger anstrengend.
Schwarz eloxiert
In die Oberfläche umgewandelt. Der Lenker eines Reisemotorrads ist allem ausgesetzt, und eine eloxierte Oberfläche verträgt das besser als jede Beschichtung.
Aus Ergal gefräst
Die 7075er-Legierung mit etwa der doppelten Streckgrenze gewöhnlichen gefrästen Aluminiums. Bei einem Motorrad, das vermutlich auf Schotter umfällt, ist das ein praktischer Gesichtspunkt.
Dreißigtausend-Kilometer-Services
Das Wartungsintervall des Testastretta-11°-Motors veränderte, was eine Ducati im Unterhalt kostet. Das ist eine der unspektakulärsten und zugleich wichtigsten Entwicklungen des Unternehmens in zwanzig Jahren.
Vier Motorräder in einem, tatsächlich
Ducatis Anspruch an die Multistrada war Marketing, aber die Fahrmodi verändern das Motorrad wirklich, statt den Gasgriff nur abzumildern. Enduro senkt die Leistung auf 75 PS und konfiguriert das ABS neu, und auf einer Schotterpiste ist das eine andere Maschine als die, die eine Stunde zuvor auf der Autobahn unterwegs war.
