Der Desmosedici Stradale
Ducati übernahm die Motorarchitektur aus der MotoGP und brachte sie zur Straßenzulassung: ein 90-Grad-V4 mit gegenläufiger Kurbelwelle, die Kreiselkräfte so aufhebt wie nichts sonst in dieser Klasse.
Kein Wartungsintervall
Nichts im Wartungsplan von Ducati sieht vor, die Aktivkohle zu prüfen oder zu ersetzen. Sie arbeitet einige Jahre und hört dann still auf, ohne jede Vorwarnung.
Keine Leistungsänderung
Der Ausbau der Begrenzung der Verdunstungsemissionen setzt keine Leistung frei, schärft nicht die Gasannahme und verbessert nicht den Verbrauch. Der Gewinn liegt in Platz, Zugänglichkeit und einem Bauteil weniger, das ausfallen kann.
Improvisierte Ausbauten
Ein gekürzter Schlauch, mit Kabelbindern am Rahmen befestigt, ist der übliche Weg. Er entlüftet den Tank, bis das Motorrad auf der Seite liegt, und führt dann das Problem vor.
Wiedereinbau für eine Prüfung
Wo eine Emissionsprüfung eine Sichtkontrolle umfasst, ist der Serienzustand an einem Abend wiederhergestellt. Möglich macht das die Aufbewahrung der Teile.
Kleinteile gehen verloren
Schellen und Halterschrauben verschwinden vom Garagenboden. Sie gleich in einen Beutel zu packen, macht den Unterschied zwischen einem reibungslosen Wiedereinbau und einem Gang in den Baumarkt.
Bei Kälte wird es schlimmer
In Dampfleitungen, die von einem warmen Tank zu einem kalten Behälter führen, sammelt sich Kondenswasser, und bei starkem Frost kann dieses Wasser die engste Biegung verstopfen.
Was vom Motorrad herunterkommt
Der Aktivkohlefilter selbst, das Spülventil, je nach Modell drei oder vier Schläuche und die Halter, die all das tragen. Das ist mehr, als die meisten Besitzer erwarten, und der Platz, der danach frei wird, ist der Hauptgrund, warum die Arbeit überhaupt gemacht wird.
Schlauch ist nicht gleich Schlauch
Die Leitungen zwischen Tank, Aktivkohlefilter und Ansaugtrakt führen Dampf statt flüssigen Kraftstoffs und sind entsprechend dimensioniert. Eine davon als Entlüftungsleitung weiterzuverwenden, nur weil sie zufällig die passende Länge hat, ist die Art Abkürzung, die funktioniert, bis ein heißer Tag kommt, und sie ist die zwanzig Minuten nicht wert, die sie spart.
