Der Superquadro-Klang
Ein großer Zweizylinder bei elftausend Umdrehungen erzeugt einen Klang, den kein Vierzylinder nachbilden kann, und das ist der Hauptgrund, warum Besitzer an diesen Maschinen festhalten.
Warum der Stromkreis Alarm schlägt
Ducatis Federungssteuergerät erwartet an jedem Federelement, das es regelt, einen Schrittmotor und einen Positionssensor. Werden konventionelle Einheiten montiert, findet es keins von beidem, meldet daher einen Fehler und versetzt die Elektronik in einen Notlauf.
Was elektronisch bleibt
Fahrhilfen, Motorkennfelder und Traktionskontrolle bleiben unberührt. Dieses Teil bedient nur den eigenen Stromkreis der Federung.
Am Heck
Der Stecker sitzt in der Regel über dem Federbein und ist bei abgenommener Sitzeinheit leichter zu erreichen. Das Federbein selbst muss dafür nicht ausgebaut werden.
Die Funktionsprüfung
Das Steuergerät misst die Wicklung, die es vorzufinden erwartet, und vergleicht das Ergebnis mit einem hinterlegten Wertefenster. Der Eliminator liegt innerhalb dieses Fensters, und mehr wird nicht abgefragt.
Die Original-Gabelholme aufheben
Komplett und zusammengebaut sind sie deutlich mehr wert als in Einzelteilen, und genau nach ihnen wird ein sorgfältiger Käufer fragen.
Zugang am Heck
Der Stecker sitzt bei den meisten Modellen über dem Federbein, und erst das Abnehmen der Sitzeinheit macht ihn erreichbar. Das Federbein selbst bleibt, wo es ist.
Den gespeicherten Fehler löschen
Der Eliminator verhindert, dass neue Einträge geschrieben werden, löscht aber nicht, was bereits gespeichert ist. Eine Diagnosesitzung leert den Speicher in Sekunden, und wird sie nach dem Umbau durchgeführt, bleibt ein Speicherstand zurück, der dem jetzigen Zustand des Motorrads entspricht.
