Fünf Fahrmodi
Einschließlich eines konfigurierbaren Modus, der Gasannahme, Traktionskontrolle und ABS gemeinsam verändert. Er brachte die Speed Triple auf den Stand, zu dem sich die Klasse entwickelt hatte.

Kondenswasser im Winter
Dampfleitungen, die von einem warmen Tank zu einem kalten Behälter führen, sammeln Wasser, und bei starkem Frost kann dieses Wasser die engste Biegung des Schlauchs verschließen.
Kein Leistungsversprechen
Der Ausbau der Verdunstungskontrolle setzt keine Leistung frei, schärft nicht die Gasannahme und verbessert nicht den Verbrauch. Wer anderes behauptet, hat das System missverstanden.
Vor einem Verkauf wieder montiert
Die serienmäßige Anordnung vor der Übergabe wieder einzubauen, vermeidet Diskussionen und dauert etwa so lange wie der ursprüngliche Ausbau.
Ethanolhaltiger Kraftstoff lässt sie schneller altern
Moderner Kraftstoff an der Zapfsäule setzt der Aktivkohle mehr zu als das Benzin, für das das System ursprünglich ausgelegt wurde, daher sind Behälter an älteren Motorrädern oft schon erschöpft, lange bevor es der Kilometerstand vermuten lässt.
Wo der Fehlercode entsteht
Im Motorsteuergerät, am Stromkreis des Reinigungsventils. Nichts in der Diagnose weiß oder interessiert sich dafür, ob Aktivkohle vorhanden ist, weshalb für die Elektronik nur die elektrische Antwort zählt.
Wie sich ein gesättigtes Bett äußert
Der Motor dreht normal durch und springt mehrere Sekunden lang nicht an, läuft dann ein bis zwei Minuten unrund im Leerlauf, bevor er sich beruhigt. Am schlimmsten ist es direkt nach dem Tanken, am besten bei nahezu leerem Tank – der Hinweis, den niemand bemerkt.
Ein Behälter, der sich nicht öffnen lässt
Triumph liefert den Behälter versiegelt, daher bedeutet ein gesättigtes Bett den Kauf eines neuen. Diese Wirtschaftlichkeit ist der Grund, warum so wenige Besitzer einen Behälter zweimal ersetzen.
