Zwei Umbauten, ein Bauteil
Ein Schnellgasgriff verdrängt den Serienschalterblock, und ein Streckenaufbau entfernt die Blinkerbedienung. JetPrime vereint beides in einer Einheit, statt den Besitzer ein Straßenbedienfeld montieren und dann mit Tasten leben zu lassen, die nichts tun.
Wo das im Aufbau einzuordnen ist
Fußrastenanlage, Rennverkleidung, Auspuff, Schnellgasgriff und dann dieses. Es ist nicht das Vorzeigebauteil eines Super-Duke-Streckenumbaus, aber es ist dasjenige, das darüber entscheidet, ob das Motorrad am Ende des Prozesses überhaupt anspringt.
Der Rahmen trägt den Motor
KTMs Neukonstruktion von 2020 machte den LC8 zum tragenden Element eines leichteren Rohrrahmens, was Gewicht herausnahm und die Lenkpräzision deutlich schärfte. Das ist die Änderung, die aus der Super Duke von einem sehr schnellen Naked Bike eine ernsthaft taugliche Streckenmaschine machte.
Technische Abnahme
Bei jeder Maschine, die auf eine Rennstrecke fährt, wird der Motorstoppschalter vor der Freigabe kontrolliert. In einem Cockpit, das um einen Schnellgasgriff herum umgebaut wurde, muss dieses Bedienelement vorhanden, erreichbar und eindeutig sein – genau das, was eine improvisierte Halterung nicht ist.
Nichts erreicht den Kabelbaum
Vorverkabelt für den Stecker von KTM. Traktionskontrolle, Anti-Wheelie und Fahrmodi funktionieren weiter wie kalibriert, und an keiner Stelle des Umbaus wird ein Rennkabelbaum benötigt.
Abgedichtet über Automotive-Niveau
Kontakte nach Militärspezifikation in einem gefrästen Gehäuse. Streckenmotorräder werden nach jeder Session heiß gewaschen und zwischen den Terminen feucht abgestellt, und Feuchtigkeitseintritt statt Tasterverschleiß ist, was Schaltern in der Boxengasse das Ende setzt.
Titanfarben
Eine eloxierte Oberfläche. In einem komplett auf den Streckeneinsatz ausgerichteten Cockpit verhindert ein zurückhaltender Ton, dass die Baugruppe wirkt, als wäre sie aus dem zusammengestellt, was gerade verfügbar war.
