Kawasaki hat die Vulcan S um die Idee herum gebaut, dass Fahrer in verschiedenen Größen vorkommen, und bietet drei Rastenpositionen und mehrere Sitzbankvarianten an. Die Spiegel blieben als einziges Bedienelement für alle auf derselben Einstellung.

Der letzte Schliff an einem verstellbaren Motorrad
Die Reichweite zu Rasten und Lenker lässt sich an die Person anpassen. Die Spiegelposition ist die verbleibende Variable, und an einem Cruiser zählt sie mehr als an den meisten anderen Motorrädern, weil der Fahrer so weit hinter dem Lenker sitzt.
Ein Cruiser als erstes Motorrad
Die Vulcan S ist einer der ganz wenigen Cruiser, die es in einer A2-Version gibt, und so ist eine ganze Reihe von ihnen das erste Motorrad ihres Besitzers. Wer diese Sitzposition noch nicht kennt, hat noch kein Gespür dafür, wohin das Glas zeigen soll, und deshalb ist eine Aufnahme, die eine überlegte Einstellung hält, mehr wert als eine, an der man ständig herumrückt.
Straßenzulassung
Maßgeblich ist die Genehmigung E1*81R00/02*0143, erteilt nach UN-Regelung Nr. 81. Es handelt sich um eine europäische Typgenehmigung und nicht um eine deutsche ABE, und sie wird in der gesamten EU ohne zusätzliche Eintragung anerkannt.
