Die luftgekühlte Thruxton ist inzwischen so alt, dass ihre Originalspiegel eine Frage der Verfügbarkeit geworden sind und keine Frage des Preises mehr. Modellspezifische Teile für ein ausgelaufenes Motorrad werden rar, und die noch erhältlichen sind oft nicht neu.

Nach einem Maß ausgelegt
Eine Befestigung am Lenkerende richtet sich nach einer Bohrung, nicht nach einem Modell. Sie passt an alles, was 13 bis 18 Millimeter Innendurchmesser im Rohr hat, und deshalb gibt es sie auch noch für ein Motorrad, dessen eigener Teilekatalog gerade ausläuft.
Und genau dort saßen sie ohnehin
An den Maschinen, auf die sich diese hier bezieht, waren die Lenkerenden der übliche Platz für Spiegel, weil es keinen anderen sinnvollen gab. Die Optik ist eine Folge der Technik und keine Stilentscheidung.

Straßenzulassung
In Europa nach UN-Regelung Nr. 81 als E1*81R00/02*0143 typgenehmigt. Die Genehmigung erfasst den Spiegel als Rückspiegel für zwei- und dreirädrige Fahrzeuge, deshalb darf er ohne weitere Formalitäten an einem zugelassenen Motorrad montiert werden.
Lieferumfang
Geliefert wird ein Spiegel. Er ist symmetrisch, deshalb passt dasselbe Teil auf beide Seiten des Lenkers – einen bestellen, um einen einzelnen Spiegel zu ersetzen, oder zwei für ein Paar.
