Die RSV4 der Jahre 2018 bis 2020 ist ein vom Rennsport geprägtes Superbike, mit dem viele Besitzer auf die Rennstrecke gehen. Harte, schnelle Gangwechsel bei hohen Drehzahlen belasten die Schaltwelle dort, wo sie aus dem Motor austritt. Der Gilles Shiftholder für die Aprilia RSV4 dieser Baujahre stützt sie mit einem Nadellager ab.

Ein Nadellager für die Welle
Die Welle dreht sich in einem Nadellager im Halter, deshalb bringt die Abstützung keine zusätzliche Reibung in den Gangwechsel. Sie verhindert lediglich, dass sich die Welle verbiegt, und macht so jeden Schaltvorgang exakter.
Was ein verpatzter Schaltvorgang auf der Rennstrecke kostet
Rastet ein Gang am Ende einer Geraden nicht vollständig ein, dreht der Motor für einen Moment frei hoch, und der Fahrer muss erneut schalten, oft schon während er bremst. Auf einem Superbike ist das nicht nur langsam, sondern auch verunsichernd. Nimmt man der Welle die Nachgiebigkeit, sinkt die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass das bei den anspruchsvollsten Schaltvorgängen passiert.
Straßenzulassung
Dieses Teil braucht weder eine Genehmigung noch eine Eintragung in die Fahrzeugpapiere. Es stützt die Schaltwelle des Getriebes der Aprilia RSV4 ab und lässt die Bedienelemente des Fahrers sowie jedes genehmigte Merkmal des Motorrads unverändert, sodass es für eine Prüforganisation nichts zu begutachten gibt.
