Die ZX-4R bringt einen drehfreudigen Vierzylinder in ein leichtes, straßentaugliches Sportmotorrad. Für Fahrer, die den ganzen Drehzahlbereich nutzen, stützt der Gilles Shiftholder für die Kawasaki ZX-4R der Jahre 2023 bis 2025 die Schaltwelle ab, damit die Gangwechsel knackig bleiben.

Warum die Welle eine Abstützung braucht
Die Schaltwelle ragt aus dem Getriebe heraus und ist nur im Inneren des Motors gelagert. Wird der Hebel schnell und kräftig betätigt, kann das überstehende Ende elastisch nachgeben, und die Schaltwalze führt ihre Bewegung nicht immer vollständig aus. Der Shiftholder nimmt diese Last außerhalb des Motors auf.
Eine kleine Änderung, die sofort spürbar ist
Viele Fahrer bemerken den Unterschied schon bei der ersten Fahrt: Der Hebel fühlt sich nicht mehr federnd an, und jeder Gang rastet mit einer klaren, kurzen Bewegung ein. Bei einem Motorrad, das so oft geschaltet wird wie eine drehfreudige 400er, lässt diese direkte Rückmeldung die ganze Maschine straffer und präziser wirken.
Straßenzulassung
Eine Eintragung ist nicht erforderlich. Der Shiftholder verändert weder die Lage eines Bedienelements noch ein anderes genehmigtes Merkmal der Kawasaki ZX-4R 400; er stützt lediglich die Schaltwelle dort ab, wo sie aus dem Motor austritt. In die Fahrzeugpapiere muss nichts eingetragen werden, und eine Abnahme ist nicht erforderlich.
