KTM nennt sie nicht ohne Grund „The Beast“: Die 1290 Super Duke R will in den unteren Gängen das Vorderrad heben und zieht bei jedem Tempo kräftig an. Auf einem solchen Motorrad sind die Beine des Fahrers Teil des Fahrwerks. Die MUE2-Rastenanlage für die KTM 1290 Super Duke R ab 2020 gibt ihnen den richtigen Platz zum Arbeiten.

Knie an den Tank, Fersen verankert
Unter Volllast bleibt ein Fahrer, der den Tank mit den Knien umklammert und die Fersen gegen den Fersenschutz stemmt, auf seinem Platz, ohne sich am Lenker festzuklammern. Mit Rasten, die bis zu 33 mm höher und bis zu 30 mm weiter hinten sitzen, findet sich die Position, in der dieser Halt ganz natürlich entsteht.
Orange auf Schwarz
Die schwarz eloxierte Anlage hat farblich abgesetzte Einstellelemente, die das KTM-Orange aufgreifen. Mit 528 g links und 608 g rechts hält sie das Gewicht niedrig, und sowohl das normale als auch das umgekehrte Schaltschema sind möglich.
Straßenzulassung
An der KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R durch die ABE Nr. KBA 91506 abgedeckt. Das ABE-Dokument ersetzt jeden Gang zur Prüfstelle, unter drei Auflagen, die dem Dokument entnommen sind: Einbau nach Montageanleitung, ausschließlich Klappadapter für die Fußrasten und eine Prüfung der Scheinwerfereinstellung. Das Dokument oben herunterladen und einen Ausdruck mitführen.
Lieferumfang
Die Lieferung umfasst die komplette Baugruppe für links und rechts, einschließlich klappbarer Fußrasten, der kugelgelagerten Fußbrems- und Schalthebel, des Schaltgestänges und des Fersenschutzes auf beiden Seiten. Die Montageanleitung liegt bei, ebenso das ABE-Dokument.
