Die R hatte das bessere Fahrwerk und die besseren Bremsen und war damit die Version, die Enthusiasten kauften und behielten. Die Exemplare, die es noch gibt, waren meist in der Hand von Leuten, die sie richtig fahren, und nicht von solchen, die damit pendeln.

Richtig gefahren
Das ist ein härteres Leben für ein Motorrad und ein aufschlussreicheres für seine Bauteile. Teile, die bloß ausreichend sind, fallen schnell auf, wenn das Motorrad auf dem Niveau bewegt wird, für das sein Fahrwerk ausgelegt wurde.
Stabil durch die Kurven
Der Arm ist kurz, und die Masse ist im Rohr geklemmt, statt über dessen Ende hinauszuragen, deshalb beruhigt sich das Bild schon zwischen den Richtungswechseln und nicht erst danach.

Straßenzulassung
In Europa typgenehmigt nach UN-Regelung Nr. 81 als E1*81R00/02*0143. Die Genehmigung erfasst den Spiegel als Rückspiegel für zwei- und dreirädrige Fahrzeuge; er darf daher ohne weitere Formalitäten an ein zugelassenes Motorrad montiert werden.
Lieferumfang
Geliefert wird ein Spiegel. Er ist symmetrisch, dasselbe Teil kommt also auf jede Seite des Lenkers – einen bestellen, um einen einzelnen Spiegel zu ersetzen, oder zwei für ein Paar.
