Mit einer Rivale 800 durch die Stadt zu fahren heißt: viele langsame Manöver, die Füße am Boden und hin und wieder ein Umfaller, wenn der Untergrund uneben ist. Die Lenkerenden bekommen den Schlag ab. Die Gilles IP-Gewichte ersetzen sie durch einen haltbaren, eloxierten Zylinder.

Das Paar ist für die Rivale 800 von 2014 bis 2016 gelistet. Sitzen Spiegel oder Handprotektoren an den Lenkerenden, können sich die Gewichte diesen Platz nicht mit ihnen teilen; bei diesem Modell tragen die serienmäßigen Handprotektoren die Blinker.
Straßenzulassung
Für die MV Agusta Rivale 800 gibt Gilles an, dass die Lenkerendengewichte selbst keinerlei Genehmigung benötigen. Das gilt nicht für die Handprotektoren: Werden die serienmäßigen Handprotektoren mit ihren Blinkern abgebaut, um Platz zu schaffen, braucht es vor der Straßennutzung Ersatzblinker, und diese Änderung ist vorab mit einer Prüforganisation (TÜV, DEKRA, GTÜ oder KÜS) abzuklären.

Montage
Immer nur eine Seite montieren: altes Gewicht raus, Spreizelement rein, Gilles-Gewicht drauf, Schraube fest. Danach den Gasgriff ein paar Mal auf- und zudrehen; er muss von selbst zurückgehen, und das Gewicht darf sich nicht bewegen.
