Die FTR 1200 ist Indians Straßenmotorrad nach dem Vorbild der eigenen Flat-Track-Rennmaschinen, mit großem V2 und breitem, flachem Lenker. Der konische GTO-L-Lenker für die Indian FTR 1200 ab 2019 führt diese Idee mit 755 mm Breite, 86 mm Höhe und 94 mm Kröpfung fort, aus schwarz oder gold eloxiertem Aluminium.

Vom Oval auf die Straße
Flat-Track-Lenker sind breit, damit der Fahrer das Motorrad mit kleinen Bewegungen lenken und driften kann. Auf der Straße gibt dieselbe Geometrie der FTR ein direktes, lebendiges Fahrgefühl. Der steife konische Abschnitt des GTO-L passt zum Drehmoment des großen Zweizylinders.
ABE mit Optionen
Die ABE führt die FTR 1200 für den Lenker in den Serienklemmen oder in der 2DGT-Lenkererhöhung von Gilles auf. Mit Lenkererhöhung und Distanzscheiben sind bis zu 20 mm zusätzliche Höhe möglich, praktisch für große Fahrer, denen der Serienlenker zu niedrig ist.
Straßenzulassung
Straßenzulassung in Deutschland für die Indian FTR 1200: ABE Nr. KBA 91440. Der GTO-L darf in den Originalklemmen sitzen oder, wenn die Position verändert werden soll, in der 2DGT-Lenkererhöhung von Gilles; mit Distanzscheiben erlaubt die ABE bis zu 20 mm zusätzliche Höhe. Kein Prüfer, keine Eintragung, nur das ausgedruckte ABE-Dokument bei den Fahrzeugpapieren.
