Mehr DL650 dienen als Verkehrsmittel für das ganze Jahr denn als Expeditionsmotorrad, und das ist das ehrliche Argument für einen besseren Kupplungshebel. Ein Motorrad, das jeden Tag zur Arbeit gefahren wird, beschäftigt die linke Hand an Kreuzungen, im Stau und beim zähen Anfahren nach dem Kaltstart, mehrere hundert Mal pro Woche.

Woraus er besteht
Aus dem Vollen gefrästes Aluminium, schwarz eloxiert, die Lagerbohrung in einem eigenen Arbeitsgang phosphatiert. An einem Pendlermotorrad korrodieren die Bedienelemente vor allem anderen, und eine behandelte Lagerfläche sorgt dafür, dass der Hebel sauber läuft, statt über einen Winter mit Streusalz schwergängig zu werden.
Betätigungen zählen
Eine Stunde im Verkehr ist nicht ein Kupplungszug, sondern ein paar hundert. Verlangt jeder davon, die Hand ganz zu öffnen, weil der Hebel jenseits der Stelle sitzt, an der die Finger ruhen, zahlt der Unterarm dafür, bis das Motorrad geparkt ist. Eine kürzere Griffweite verkürzt jeden einzelnen davon.
Alte Motorräder, ausgeschlagene Lager
In diesem Alter hat der Originalhebel meist einen Millimeter Spiel, bevor überhaupt etwas passiert, und dadurch fühlt sich der Schleifpunkt weiter entfernt an, als er ist. Ein Ersatzhebel, der spielfrei ankommt, bringt die Präzision zurück, die die Kupplung immer hatte.

In Deutschland straßenzugelassen mit ABE Nr. KBA 91203. Das ABE-Dokument über den Download auf dieser Seite ausdrucken und mit den Fahrzeugpapieren mitführen; weder eine Eintragung noch eine Abnahme ist erforderlich.
Lieferumfang
Ein schwarzer Kupplungshebel für die DL650 V-Strom der Modelljahre 2012 bis 2016. Die Betätigung für den Kupplungsschalter ist nicht enthalten – sie wird vom Originalhebel übernommen, der bei der Montage deshalb griffbereit liegen sollte.
