Die Niken hat zwei Vorderräder, und damit wird fast jede Verallgemeinerung über das Bremsen beim Motorrad unzuverlässig. Sicher ist, dass sie vorn doppelt so viel Reifenaufstandsfläche hat und eine Front, die sich nur schwer aus der Ruhe bringen lässt – die Bremse lässt sich also mit ungewöhnlich viel Zuversicht einsetzen.

Aus dem Vollen gefräst
Aluminium, aus dem Vollen gefräst, an der Lagerstelle phosphatiert, schwarz eloxiert. Von Anfang an spielfrei. Auf einer so ungewöhnlichen Maschine muss sich der Fahrer ohnehin neu kalibrieren; ein Hebel mit Spiel fügt eine Variable hinzu, die niemand braucht.
Die Haftung von zwei Rädern
Die neigefähige, mehrrädrige Front erlaubt es, später und härter zu bremsen, als es der Instinkt zulässt, besonders bei Nässe. Das auszunutzen heißt, den Druck präzise und progressiv aufbauen zu können, und das beginnt am Hebel.
Eine schwere Maschine
Die Niken trägt vorn echtes Gewicht. Sie zu verzögern ist ein längerer, bewussterer Vorgang als bei einem herkömmlichen Motorrad, und lange Vorgänge sind nur angenehm, wenn die Finger aus einer starken Position heraus beginnen.

In Deutschland straßenzugelassen mit ABE Nr. KBA 91203. Das ABE-Dokument auf dieser Seite ausdrucken und bei den Fahrzeugpapieren aufbewahren; weder eine Eintragung noch eine Abnahme ist erforderlich.
Lieferumfang
Ein schwarzer Bremshebel, einzeln geliefert. Adapter oder zusätzliche Teile sind nicht nötig: Die serienmäßige Lagerschraube und ihre Mutter werden übernommen.
