Die Norden 901 teilt sich den Motor mit der KTM 890, ist aber auf längere Strecken ausgelegt, und ihre Fahrer stehen öfter auf den Rasten. Im Stehen stößt die serienmäßige Lenkerhöhe als Erstes an ihre Grenzen. Diese Version der 2DGT hebt den Lenker um 24 Millimeter an, genug, um den Rücken aufzurichten, ohne aus dem Motorrad eine andere Maschine zu machen.

Verstellbereich
Die Höhe ist auf plus 24 Millimeter festgelegt; der Lenkerabstand lässt sich um bis zu 7,2 Millimeter in jede Richtung verändern. Das Adapterkit für die Husqvarna-Gabelbrücke gehört zum Set.
Straßenzulassung
Die ABE Nr. KBA 91440 führt die Husqvarna NORDEN 901 für die 2DGT-Lenkererhöhung auf. Das Dokument vermerkt, dass der originale 28,4-mm-Lenker ohne Reduziersatz verwendet wird. Punkt 11 der ABE hält fest, dass eine Änderungsabnahme nach § 19 Abs. 3 StVZO nicht erforderlich ist; es ist also kein Prüfer beteiligt, und an den Fahrzeugpapieren ändert sich nichts. Die Lenkererhöhung trägt die KBA-Nummer; die ausgedruckte ABE bei den Papieren aufbewahren, sie lässt sich auf dieser Seite herunterladen.

Montage
Gebohrt werden muss nicht: Die Lenkererhöhung nutzt die serienmäßigen Aufnahmen. Nach der ersten Einstellung eine kurze Strecke fahren und die Position erneut prüfen; die Klemmen lassen sich in wenigen Minuten neu einstellen, wenn der Lenker etwas weiter vorn oder hinten sitzen soll.
