Sechzigtausend Kilometer bis zur Ventilkontrolle
Der Granturismo V4 hat keine Zahnriemen und ein Ventilspielintervall von 60.000 Kilometern – anders als alles, was Ducati vorher gebaut hat. Für einen Besitzer heißt das: Diese Abdeckung bleibt, einmal montiert, eher Jahre als Monate am Motorrad.
Das ist ein faires Argument dafür, hier Geld auszugeben. Es ist zugleich der Grund, sie beim ersten Mal richtig zu montieren, denn die nächste Gelegenheit kann weit entfernt liegen – zeitlich wie örtlich.
Dazu kommt die Optik: Ohne Riemenkästen hat der V4 an dieser Stelle eine große, ruhige Fläche, und was dort liegt, prägt die Seitenansicht des Motors stärker als an jedem Zweizylinder davor.

Zulassung
Fullsix weist für dieses Teil weder eine ABE noch eine EG-Betriebserlaubnis aus. Es ersetzt eine Motorabdeckung maßgleich und berührt nichts Geregeltes, eine Zulassung gibt es dafür nicht.
Montage
Kalter Motor und die Originalabstandshalter an ihrem Platz. Gleichmäßig über alle Befestigungen anziehen statt eine Seite zuerst, und danach prüfen, dass die Abdeckung den Motor an keiner Stelle berührt.
