Riemen gehören zu diesem Motor
Der Testastretta 11° treibt seine Nockenwellen über Gummi-Zahnriemen an, und Ducati setzt dafür ein Wechselintervall. Das ist kein Mangel, sondern die Bauart – und es bedeutet, dass diese Abdeckungen nach Plan vom Motorrad kommen und nicht erst, wenn etwas kaputt ist.
Ein Riemen, der Zähne verliert, versagt an einem Desmo-Motor nicht sanft. Was die Abdeckungen fernhalten, ist genau das, was dazu führt: ein Stein von der Straße, Split in den Zähnen der Riemenräder, Wasser dort, wo keines hingehört.
Zwei Nummern, und der Unterschied ist nicht dokumentiert
Fullsix führt diesen Satz und getrennt davon eine einzelne, anders geformte Abdeckung für den liegenden Zylinder, die zusätzlich für die Streetfighter 848 und 1100 gelistet ist. Ob dieses Teil eine Alternative zu einer Hälfte dieses Satzes ist oder daneben sitzt, steht nirgends.

Zulassung
Fullsix weist für diesen Satz weder eine ABE noch eine EG-Betriebserlaubnis aus. Maßgleich ersetzte Motorabdeckungen berühren nichts Geregeltes.
Montage
Sind beide Abdeckungen ab, hat man freie Sicht auf die Riemen. Nutzen Sie sie: zwischen den Zähnen nach feinen Rissen sehen und herausfinden, wann sie zuletzt erneuert wurden.
Beim Zusammenbau über Kreuz anziehen statt reihum, und den Motor vorher einmal von Hand durchdrehen.
