Ein Monocoque arbeitet nicht wie ein Gitterrohrrahmen
Die V4 ist um ein Aluminium-Monocoque herum gebaut, nicht um den Stahlgitterrahmen früherer Multistradas. Die Teile verschrauben sich an einer Struktur, die sich kaum bewegt – gut für Verkleidung, mit einer Einschränkung: Ein steifer Rahmen gibt Schwingungen weiter, statt sie zu schlucken.
Damit landet die Last auf den Tüllen. Wer ein Teil dieser Größe mit fehlender oder hart gewordener Tülle direkt gegen den Rahmen schraubt, bekommt den Riss am Befestigungsauge, meist innerhalb einer Saison.
Sichtbar wird die Arbeit vor allem an der Kante: Auf dieser Länge trifft das Teil seine Nachbarn, und zwei Millimeter Abweichung im Spaltmaß sieht man aus mehreren Metern.
