Die Ritzelabdeckung sitzt über der Vorgelegewelle auf der linken Motorseite und macht an einem kettengetriebenen Motorrad die schmutzigste Arbeit. Sie fängt Schmiermittel auf, nimmt mit, was das Vorderrad an den Motorgehäusen entlang zurückwirft – und an einer Diavel V4 tut sie das alles gut sichtbar.

Was 126 Nm mit dem Vorgelegebereich machen
Der V4 Granturismo liefert sein Drehmoment früh und gibt es über eine Kette ab, und der Bereich hinter dieser Abdeckung sieht Lasten, die ein mittelgroßer Einzylinder nie erreicht. Das praktische Ergebnis ist kein Schaden – Ducati legt die Bauteile richtig aus –, sondern Streuung: Ein hart arbeitender Antrieb schleudert mehr Schmiermittel, häufiger und weiter als ein sanfter.
Damit muss diese Abdeckung umgehen. Sie ist weniger ein Schutzteil als ein Auffangteil, und der Unterschied zum originalen Aluminiumteil ist nicht Festigkeit, sondern Chemie: Eine Legierungsabdeckung bekommt an dieser Stelle Lochfraß, wo Schmiermittel und Winterstreusalz in den Vertiefungen stehen, und keine Reinigung holt die Oberfläche zurück, wenn es einmal angefangen hat.
Ein Fünf-Minuten-Teil mit Zehn-Jahres-Folge
Niemand fotografiert eine Ritzelabdeckung, und genau deshalb ist das Originalteil an einem ansonsten makellosen Motorrad im fünften Jahr meist das am schlechtesten aussehende Bauteil. Es ist aus dem Sinn, es wird nie richtig gereinigt, und wenn es jemand genauer ansieht, ist der Schaden chemisch statt kosmetisch.
Es früh zu ersetzen ist damit eine Entscheidung über den Zustand beim Verkauf, nicht über das Aussehen heute. Das Carbonteil sieht in zehn Jahren aus wie bei der Lieferung – vorausgesetzt, Lösemittel bleiben von einem eventuellen Lack fern: Lappen und milder Entfetter statt Sprühdose.

Ducati Diavel V4, 2023 bis 2026, an der serienmäßigen Vorgelegewellenanordnung. Freigang nach der Montage prüfen, falls ein abweichendes Ritzel verbaut ist.
