Was mit ihm zusammen verschwindet
Wer eine M1000RR zu einem Trackday bringt, baut üblicherweise den Kennzeichenhalter und die Blinker ab – und stellt dann fest, dass der Kettenschutz links am Motorrad das letzte Teil aus lackiertem Kunststoff ist. Ihn zu tauschen bringt die Sache ordentlich zu Ende, und er bleibt anschließend für den Straßenbetrieb dran, was die anderen abgebauten Teile nicht tun.
Die Gewichtsänderung ist belanglos, und niemand sollte etwas anderes behaupten. Das ist ein Teil, das man der Stimmigkeit wegen kauft.

BMW M1000RR, Modelljahre 2023 bis 2026, an den Serienhaltern der Schwinge. Fullsix führt denselben Artikel für die S1000RR ab 2019 und für die S1000R ab 2021.

Ein Hinweis zum Kettenfett
Was auf eine Kette gesprüht wird, landet auf der Innenseite dieses Schutzes, und ein Sprühfett sitzt auf Lack anders als auf Kunststoff. Solange es nass ist, kostet das Abwischen Sekunden; eine Woche auf einem warmen Schutz eingebrannt, wird es zur Arbeit. Rohes Carbon verzeiht hier am meisten, Glanzlack am wenigsten.
