Das ist das lange Blech, das am Endschalldämpfer selbst anliegt, zwischen Topf und allem, was daneben vorbeikommt. Es ist das größere der beiden Auspuffteile und deckt einen anderen Abschnitt ab als der Krümmerschutz.

Der Abschnitt, auf den niemand achtet
Ein Fahrer weiß, wo der Auspuff ist. Ein Sozius, der auf dem Parkplatz das Bein schwingt, weiß es nicht – und eine Gepäckrolle, die am Ende eines langen Tages im Dunkeln festgezurrt wird, erst recht nicht.
Das ist das Argument für ein Blech über die ganze Länge des Topfes statt nur dort, wo der Stiefel des Fahrers steht. Seine Wirkung kommt ausschließlich aus dem Luftspalt, den die Abstandshalter aufrechterhalten – diese Halter sind hier im einzig relevanten Sinn tragend.
Zu prüfen ist das nach jedem Eingriff an der Anlage. Eine gelöste und wieder angezogene Schelle kann den Spalt um Millimeter verschieben, und genau die fehlen dann am heißen Ende.

Zulassung
Fullsix weist für dieses Teil weder eine ABE noch eine EG-Betriebserlaubnis aus. Es schirmt eine unveränderte Anlage ab, ohne Geräusch oder Abgas zu berühren, dokumentiert ist nichts.

Kalter Motor, Halter lose, Spalt über die ganze Länge prüfen, dann festziehen. Niemals näher heranlegen, damit es straffer aussieht: Der Spalt ist die Funktion.
