Warum ein nacktes Motorrad eines braucht
Ohne Verkleidung, die Wärme ableitet, sitzt der Schalldämpfer dieser Generation direkt unter der Sitzeinheit und strahlt nach oben ab. Das Serienschild existiert aus diesem Grund, und es durch Carbon zu ersetzen ändert das Material und nicht die Funktion.
Wer auf einem Monster-Heck schon Gepäck transportiert hat, kennt die Folge, wenn dieser Bereich falsch behandelt wird. Das Schild steht zwischen einem Spanngurt und einem heißen Auspuff.
Meist zusammen mit der Sitzabdeckung
Die meisten Besitzer montieren dieses Teil gleichzeitig mit MD-MN14-C57, weil beide aus demselben Bereich der Maschine kommen und ein gemeinsamer Arbeitsgang eine Demontage spart statt zweier.

Montage
Kalte Maschine. Jedes Originaldistanzstück behalten: Der Abstand zwischen Schild und Auspuff ist das, was das Schild wirken lässt. Fehlt an einer gebrauchten Maschine eines, ersetzen statt den Spalt zu schließen, denn ohne Abstand leitet das Schild die Wärme, statt sie abzuhalten, und genau umgekehrt war es gedacht.
