Fullsix hat diese Batterieabdeckung als echtes Leistungs-Upgrade konzipiert, nicht als kosmetische Randnotiz. Auf der Rennstrecke, wo Vibrationen, Hitzezyklen und Bordsteinkontakte zur Realität gehören, erzeugt die Autoklav-Verarbeitung ein Laminat, das steifer und schlagfester ist als konventionell laminiertes Carbon. Das Ergebnis ist eine Abdeckung, die die empfindliche Elektronik der Panigale 899 auch unter Rennbedingungen zuverlässig schützt und dabei gegenüber dem serienmäßigen Bauteil Gewicht einspart.
Das Gewebe 200 Plain spiegelt das originale Ducati-Werksmuster wider und verleiht dem Motorrad in Kombination mit weiteren Fullsix-Verkleidungsteilen eine stimmige Werks-Carbon-Optik. Das Gewebe 245 Twill besitzt ein ausgeprägteres diagonales Muster, das unverkennbar nach Rennsport-Herkunft aussieht. Beide Strukturen sind erhältlich in Glänzend (Hochglanzlack mit tiefen Reflexionen), Matt (flache, schattenabsorbierende Oberfläche mit kompromissloser Fahrerlager-Optik) und Satin (zwischen beiden — edel, zurückhaltend und äußerst griffig in der Haptik). Die Twill-Variante ist derzeit ausschließlich in der Oberfläche Glänzend erhältlich.
